Scale
  • 4 lb pork shoulder cut into large chunks
  • 2 tbsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp cumin
  • 1 tbsp oregano
  • 4 garlic cloves smashed
  • 1 onion quartered
  • 1 cup orange juice
  • 2 bay leaves
  • ½ cup water

Instructions

  2. Place the seasoned pork into a Dutch oven along with garlic, onion, orange juice, bay leaves, and water.
  3. Cover the Dutch oven and cook the pork at 300°F for 2.5–3 hours until it is fork-tender. Shred the cooked pork after removing it from the pot.

  5. Broil the pork on low for 15–25 minutes, tossing occasionally, until the edges are crispy. Serve on tortillas with your favorite toppings.

For extra flavor, try adding a splash of lime juice before serving.
These tacos are great with fresh avocado, cilantro, and salsa toppings.
Leftover pork can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
