Ingredients
Scale
- 2 Apples, peeled, cored and sliced
- ½ cup Onions, sliced
- 1 Tablespoon Olive oil
- 2 teaspoons All Purpose Seasoning
- 4 Pork chops, ½ inch thick boneless or bone-in
- 2 Tablespoons Butter
- 2 Tablespoons Brown sugar
- ½ teaspoon Cinnamon
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350℉.
- Spray a 13×9 baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
- Arrange the sliced apples in the bottom of the baking dish in a single layer.
- In a large skillet over medium high heat, heat the olive oil.
- Add the sliced onions and sauté until tender and translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
- Season both sides of the pork chops with All Purpose Seasoning.
- Add the pork chops to the skillet and cook until just browned on each side, about 2 minutes per side; the pork will not be cooked through.
- Transfer the browned pork chops to a plate and set them aside.
- In the skillet, add the butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon, cooking until melted.
- Pour the butter mixture over the arranged apples, then place the browned pork chops on top.
- Bake for 30 minutes or until the internal temperature of the pork chops reaches 145 degrees F.
Notes
For added flavor, try using different types of apples.
Make sure not to overcrowd the skillet when browning the pork chops for even cooking.
You can substitute olive oil with vegetable oil if preferred.
