Ingredients
Scale
- 4 salmon fillets, 6 ounces each, skin on
- ¼ cup pure maple syrup
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 2 tablespoons low sodium soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes, optional
- 2 teaspoons fresh lemon juice
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F and line a 9×13-inch baking dish with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
- Let the salmon fillets come to room temperature for 20 minutes.
- In a saucepan, combine the maple syrup, butter, soy sauce, Dijon mustard, garlic, and optional red pepper flakes. Heat on medium, whisking until bubbly, then continue cooking while whisking for 1-2 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Remove from heat and whisk in lemon juice. Set aside about 3 tablespoons of glaze in a small bowl for later use.
- Place the salmon fillets skin-side down in the prepared baking dish and pat dry. Brush a thin layer of the glaze over the tops.
- Bake for 10 minutes, then brush more glaze over salmon. Continue baking for an additional 2-8 minutes, or until cooked through at 145°F, brushing with glaze every few minutes. Discard any extra glaze in the saucepan.
- Serve the salmon with the reserved glaze and enjoy!
Notes
For added flavor, let the glaze cool slightly before drizzling over salmon.
Use a meat thermometer to ensure the salmon is cooked to the correct temperature.
Feel free to adjust red pepper flakes to your desired spice level.
