Ingredients
Scale
- 12 oz lobster tails about 3–4 tails, fresh or frozen and thawed
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1 celery stalk finely diced
- 1 bunch fresh chives finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon fresh tarragon leaves chopped
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice fresh-squeezed
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 4 top-split brioche hot dog buns
- 3 tablespoons butter softened
Instructions
- Cut the top of each lobster tail shell lengthwise using kitchen shears, starting from the wide end to the fin.
- Steam or boil the lobster tails in salted water until they are opaque and cooked through, about 8-10 minutes.
- Let the lobster tails cool before removing the meat from the shells and chopping it into bite-sized pieces.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the lobster meat, mayonnaise, diced celery, chives, tarragon, lemon juice, salt, and cayenne pepper. Mix well to combine.
- Butter the hot dog buns on the outside and toast them in a skillet or on a grill until golden brown.
- Fill the toasted buns with the lobster mixture and serve immediately.
Notes
For a richer flavor, consider adding a splash of Dijon mustard to the lobster mixture.
These rolls can be served chilled or hot, depending on your preference.
Ensure that the lobster is fresh for the best taste and texture.
