Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 3.4-oz box instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 box Nilla wafers or a batch of homemade vanilla wafers
  • 5 Semi-ripe bananas
  • 1 8-ounce container whipped topping

Instructions

  1. Whisk together the milk and vanilla pudding mix for about 2 minutes until smooth. Refrigerate for 5 minutes to allow it to begin setting.
  2. Peel and slice the bananas while the pudding sets.
  3. Layer Nilla wafers in the bottom of your dish.
  4. Add sliced bananas on top of the Nilla wafers, followed by a layer of pudding.
  5. Repeat the process, adding layers of Nilla wafers, bananas, and pudding until the dish is filled, leaving about 1 inch at the top.
  6. Spread whipped topping evenly on the top layer.
  7. Crumble additional Nilla wafers over the whipped topping.
  8. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.

Notes

For the best flavor, use semi-ripe bananas as they hold their shape better when layered.
Chilling the pudding helps it achieve a firmer texture—do not skip this step!
Feel free to add more layers if you have extra ingredients on hand.
